British-Somalis was founded by Councillor Kasim Ali, the Leader of the Kensington and Chelsea Labour Group of Councillors. In 2023, Councillor Ali made history as the first British-Somali Opposition Leader at a local authority in the UK. With a background as both an entrepreneur and educational consultant, Councillor Ali brings a wealth of experience to our organisation, guiding our efforts in business support, education, and community development.
